Rigmar Services of the United Kingdom has been awarded a prestigious contract for the operations, technical and commercial management of Prime Meridian Docks Ghana Limited in Takoradi, Ghana, West Africa’s newest maintenance and repair facility serving the shipping and offshore industries.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rigmar is providing the management team and key technical personnel, while recruiting and developing local personnel for Prime Meridian Docks. Working closely with the board of directors and the management team in Takoradi Port, Rigmar is responsible for delivering inspection, maintenance and repair services on board visiting ships and rigs, together with support to offshore projects throughout the region, particularly during mobilisations. Prime Meridian Docks also offers preservation, lay-up/stacking and reactivation services for ships and drilling rigs, as well as the full range of Rigmar Group services, including marine assurance, survey services and mooring equipment rental. All activities will be supported by Rigmar’s Engineering Department, which is currently recruiting Ghanaian personnel to augment its team.
